Utility Trailer Manufacturer Renovates Missouri Facility
As the freight industry grows, the needs of locations may change. Updates to existing facilities to meet new demand and better-equip employees can provide a net benefit to entire carriers, regardless of their size. Craftsmen Utility Trailer recently expanded and completed renovated their Sikeston, Missouri.
Lou Helmsing, president of Craftsmen Utility Trailer, said: “Our Silkeston facility was 25 years old and was in need of a ‘facelift.’ In addition, our business has grown tremendously during those years, so the remodel and expansion were needed to better serve our customers and make our employees more efficient.”
Sales, service, parts, and all other aspects of the facility were remodeled, and customer trailer counters were also added as part of the renovation effort. A new showroom for retail parts was installed, with 3,300 square-feet being added in total.
Craftsmen is a regional full-service utility dealership in downtown St. Louis. Founded in 1982, the company has multiple locations. Additional additions to the new facility include more service bays, a new entrance, service center, driver’s lounge, and locker room.
