Two Carriers Join Trucking Alliance
The Trucking Alliance is a group of carriers who work to advance safety reforms in the freight industry to create a more secure and pleasant working environment. This group has helped to improve highway safety and to reduce the number of accidents involving commercial vehicles.
KLLM Transport Services and Cargo Transporters have both recently joined the group, bringing the total number of companies in the Trucking Alliance to seven. Transportation & Logistics Practices of Aon Risk Solutions joined the group early this year. Other members include J.B. Hunt, Dupré, Knight Transportation, and Maverick Transportation.
The new members (including Aon) will officially become part of the organization in 2017. KLLM is the 2nd largest temperature-controlled carrier in the nation, and the 36th largest overall. The Jackson, Mississippi-based company is welcomed into the alliance based on their commitment to furthering safety reforms and creating a more secure work environment for drivers.
Likewise, Cargo Transporters is welcomed in based on their willingness to utilize new technology and modern driver training to ensure their drivers have the safest experience possible on the road.
With so much of an emphasis being placed on safety in the modern freight industry, the ability for like-minded carriers to work together may have a positive impact on their own operations, The Trucking Alliance, and the freight industry in general.
