Trucking Event Honors Female Drivers
Trucking is an industry that sees many women getting behind the wheel to brave the roads and help support America’s economy. Given that more women have been getting involved in the industry in recent years, steps have been taken to help honor their efforts and bring recognition to female drivers across the country.
The Women in Trucking Association is a non-profit organization focused helping women enter the trucking field while minimizing the obstacles they may face. Though their primary focus is transportation and logistics, they do hold special events which promote education and awareness concerning women in the trucking field.
The Women in Trucking Association will be holding their yearly “Salute to Women Behind the Wheel” event on March 25th. The event will be held in conjunction with the mid-America Trucking Show, and it will welcome female drivers and their families. Attendees will be given a t-shirt and other gifts.
The event will also have a speaker, music, refreshments, and a group photo at the end to commemorate the event and all those who attended it. Sponsorships are available to organizations within the trucking field. These sponsorship opportunities could help organizations improve their image, and more information about the opportunity is available at the WIT association’s website.
This will be the eighth event of its kind, and many organizations have already reached out to become sponsors.
