Special Events and Giveaways at GATS 2017
The Great American Trucking Show always brings a diverse array of trucking officials and plenty of prizes to be had as well.
Companies know the value in providing free perks to those who visit their panels. It’s good networking, it’s good etiquette, and it leaves a good impression on the receiver. GATS 2017 was no different, with a long list of giveaways and celebrations ready for eager attendees as they walked through the door.
Aeroflow Healthcare’s AeroDOUGH Rewards Program offers benefits to drivers who refer patients to Aeroflow Industrial. They also offer additional rewards for patients who become customers. Big Rig Tees gave out t-shirts, while American Insurance Brokers gave away $100 gift cards.
Sometimes the prizes are reserved for the end of the show, such as the 40” TV given away by Fleetmatics, or the 32” TV given away by AetherPal to one lucky recipient. One fleet manager will also receive the company’s Mobile Support Management Software, which can manage up to 100 mobile devices for six-months free of charge.
Canal Insurance, who turned heads with a giant jenga at their booth, gave away $100 gift cards each day of the event. Cummins passed on the traditional gift method, instead offering a ride and drive event. Hwy Pro diversified their giveaway plan this year, offering bags, cameras, and even tablets to those in attendance.
KeepTruckin’ offered attendees the chance to get their badges scan and win a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Popular trucking equipment manufacturer Rand McNally, who debuted new products at the event, gave those in attendance the chance to win a couple of these valuable state-of-the-art devices.
As far as events within the GATS itself, there are plenty to choose from. One thing many drivers looked forward to checking out was the Landstar Health & Wellness Pavilion. Serving as a hybrid of an event and a convention within itself, it will features screenings for diabetes, sleep apnea, DOT physicals, and more.
GATS offers a lot to truck drivers and fans of the freight industry. Whether its prizes they can take home or knowledge they can take with them forever, the events and panels at GATS provide something for everyone.
