International Trucks’ New HX Series
On February 15, 2016, International Trucks announced that it has received an order of more than 300 HX series haul trucks. This will be one of the largest one-time orders the company has undertaken to date. Based in Concord, Va., RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc recently announced their decision to make such a huge investment, even though the 2016 forecasts don’t project a prosperous year for the trucking industry.
To state the reason behind their decision, the company’s spokesperson made the following remarks, “This interest is fueled by how we designed our new HX Series based on in-depth discussions with leading Class 8 vocational customers.”
The HX series, which is recently introduced by International Trucks, was well received. This new line of class 8 trucks is designed to deliver the epitome of quality when it came to endurance and strength. The series first came into light and attention when it was introduced in the 2016’s World of Concrete trade show, held in Las Vegas convention centre from Feb 02-05, 2016.
Jeff Sass, the Vice President of Sales and marketing at Navistar, was reported saying, “We already have orders for more than 300 trucks and that number is growing by the day.” When asked about what made this series any different and unique from others, he added, “This interest is fueled by how we designed our new HX Series based on in-depth discussions with leading Class 8 vocational customers. Each of the four models in the series has been engineered to deliver unmatched performance for the most punishing jobsites while also making operators more productive.”
The soon-to-be-expected series is purpose-built, efficient, durable, reliable, and delivers an uptime performance and experience. Each model designed has been made taking into consideration 4 key aspects: driver productivity, maximum strength and durability, supreme uptime, and bold styling.
RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc. promises to continue meeting the haul-needs of its customers throughout Washington, Virginia, South Carolina and North Caroline by introducing the new pumped up HX620 powered dump trucks in its fleet.
According to Ricky Thompson, the president of RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc., “We ordered the new HX Series trucks because we are excited about the bold design that offers a sturdy, yet lightweight truck powered by the ISX engine.”
He further added, “As with previous International Truck purchases, we value our relationship and superior support service provided by our International dealer, Powell’s Truck and Equipment, Inc.”
